Senior Project Manager - Aerospace & Space Systems
A leading aerospace and defense company is seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive mission-critical projects from concept to completion. This role requires an experienced leader who can manage project scope, budgets, and schedules while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution.
The ideal candidate will have experience in government and commercial aerospace programs, with a strong understanding of launch vehicles, payload development, and satellite systems.
Candidates with Project/Program management experience in industrial, electromechanical, hardware manufacturing experience are also preferred.
Role Details
Compensation: $150,000 - $170,000
Onsite - Cuyahoga County, Ohio or Harris County, Texas
Travel Expected: 30%
PMP is Required (strongly preferred)
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher (preferred)

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives.
Provide detailed project updates to stakeholders and executive leadership.
Manage risk, scope changes, and process improvements.
Lead cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless coordination between technical and business stakeholders.
Support proposal development, supplier relationships, and contract negotiations.
Mentor and develop project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Ensure compliance with project management best practices and methodologies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Business (Master’s preferred).
5-10 years of experience in project management, engineering, or product development.
Experience with aerospace, satellite, or space systems projects.
PMP certification required; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 30% as needed.
