Background
A property-tech startup that focused on utilizing data from the buying decisions of renters and homeowners for shareholders to make data-driven decisions required a replacement for their current Chief Technology Officer.
The Challenge
The job description was a combination of customer success, data science, and client management.
The ideal candidate needed to have hands-on experience in data science-related tools, specifically working with real-estate data.
The Solution
After the requirements for the candidate profile were created, we began sourcing for a variety of candidates that had a mix of customer success, product management, data science, and account management to see what the client’s preferences were.
Upon delivery of the selection of candidates based on the client’s requirements, the client’s preferences leaned towards candidates with hands-on data science experience, who can also be client-facing and shareholder-facing.
The preferred candidates were selected from companies that primarily focused on real estate including Co-Star and Bozzuto.
The strategy involved investigating who was on their data science team and funneling them into the client’s shortlist
